What is tokenized real estate?

Tokenized real estate means a property is held by a dedicated company, and ownership of that company is divided into digital tokens. Each token is a fractional share of the property's value and income.

Instead of buying a whole building, you buy as many tokens as you want. If a token costs S$10 and you buy 50, you own S$500 of the property and earn your share of its rental income.

On kokabu every property token follows the ERC-3643 standard, a permissioned token built for regulated assets. Tokens only move between verified investors, and every transfer is checked on-chain.
